Non-Abelian statistics of Majorana zero modes in the presence of an Andreev bound state

Thelow-energy Andreev bound states (ABSs) mixing with the Majorana zero modes(MZMs) may destroy the non-Abelian braiding statistics of the MZMs. Wenumerically studied the braiding properties of MZMs when an ABS is present.Numerical simulation results support the argument that the ABS can be regardedas a pair of weakly coupled MZMs. The non-Abelian braiding properties of MZMsexhibit oscillation behavior with respect to the braiding time if theABS-related dynamic phase is present. Remarkably, such dynamic phase can beeliminated by tuning the magnetic field or gate voltage. In this way, thenon-Abelian braiding statistics independent of the braiding time retrieves sothat the topological quantum computation could still be robust even when theABS is engaged.


主讲人介绍:

刘杰,湖北公安人,现为西安交通大学理学院副教授、博士生导师。2006年毕业于武汉科技大学交通工程系,2011年获得中国科学院物理研究所理学博士学位2011-2014年在香港从事博士后研究。主要研究领域是凝聚态物理中的拓扑电子态,从事介观输运和拓扑超导的设计等工作。
