Compatibility of generalized Eulerian polynomials

讲座内容：

In the study of thereal-rootedness of the independence polynomials of clawfree graphs, Chudnovskyand Seymour introduced the method of compatible olynomials, which turned out tobe a very powerful tool for the study of real-rootedness. In this talk, I willtalk about recent progress of some conjectures on the real-rootedness ofvarious Eulerian polynomials. Special emphasis will be given to Brenti's type$D$ Eulerian polynomials and Dilks-Petersen-Stembridge's type $D$ affineEulerian polynomials. The last part of the talk will provide an alternativeapproach to the real-rootedness of Eulerian polynomials via theHermite--Biehler theorem.

主讲人介绍：

杨立波，南开大学教授，博士生导师。现任南开大学组合数学中心副主任。2004年毕业于南开大学，获博士学位；2011年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才；2015年获国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金项目资助。现为中文《数学进展》编委、中国工业与应用数学学会图论组合及应用专业委员会常务理事、中国运筹学会图论组合分会常务理事、天津市工业与应用数学学会常务理事。主要从事组合数学方面的研究，在对称函数理论和单峰型理论方面取得多项重要成果，在《Trans. Amer. Math.Soc.》、《Intern. Math. Res.Notices》、《Proc. Amer. Math.Soc.》、《J. CombinatorialTheory Series, A》等权威数学期刊发表论文20余篇。
