120周年校庆系列学术活动：“迎校庆·百侣风华” Doing and Publishing Research in Applied Linguistics

讲座内容：

This talk is divided into two parts. In Part 1, I will provide an overview of the theory, research, and practice pertaining to the role individual difference (ID) factors play in second language acquisition. I will clarify the scope of IDs, propose the parameters of an ideal ID theory, discuss the components of construct validity, and identify new trends and directions. In Part 2, I will discuss various issues surrounding publishing in international journals in the fields of languages and linguistics, speaking from my experience as a journal editor, a researcher/author, and a reviewer. I will provide guidance, advice, and tips on all stages of journal publishing, including, but not limited to, manuscript preparation, journal selection, and responding to reviewer comments.

讲座分为两部分。第一，概述关于个体差异(ID)因素在二语习得中的作用的理论、研究和实践，阐明其范围，提出理想ID理论的参数，讨论建构效度的组成，以及新的研究趋势和方向。 第二，从讲座人作为期刊编辑、研究人员/作者和审稿人的经验出发，讨论在语言和语言学领域的国际期刊上发表文章的各种问题，为期刊出版各个阶段提供指导和建议。

主讲人介绍：

李少锋，博士，副教授，现任教于美国佛罗里达州立大学二语与外语教育系，博士生导师，专业负责人。主要研究方向为二语习得、语言学习认知能力、任务型学习与教学及量化研究方法(包括元分析)。近年在国内外权威期刊发表学术论文60余篇，其中包括Applied Linguistics, Applied Psycholinguistics, International Review of Applied Linguistics, Journal of Second Language Writing, Language Learning, Language Teaching, Language Teaching Research, Modern Language Journal, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, System, 等学术期刊。部分文章被收录在Cambridge University Press, Routledge, John Benjamins, Blackwell Wiley, Multilingual Matters, Palgrave等权威出版社出版的学术专著中。目前担任Research Methods in Applied Linguistics期刊主编，Journal for the Psychology of Language Learning联合主编, TESOL Quarterly书评编辑以及Language Teaching Research, Studies in Second Language Acquisition System, TESOL Quarterly等期刊编委。曾多次在国际应用语言学和二语习得学术会议上做主旨发言。曾经在中国、美国及新西兰多所高校任教。
