Promoting Safe Snow Sport: Challenges and Opportunities

As Beijing ispreparing for hosting the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Skiing andsnowboarding, two activities that are new to the majority of Chinesepopulation, are becoming more popular. However, one of the inheritedcharacteristics of snow sports is its prone to injury. This presentation willdiscuss the current challenges in the areas of snow sport safety and introducea collaborative educational program to prepare skilled ski patrollers tosupport Beijing’s 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

主讲人介绍：

关红卫，博士，北京体育大学人体运动科学系理学士（运动生理），教育学硕士（运动生化），美国印第安纳大学人体运动科学博士，副专业计算机。现任教于伊萨卡大学健康与体育学院、健康促进与体育教育系，并担任伊萨卡大学健康与体育学院中国交流项目主任。主要研究兴趣包括动作技能评定，运动处方和健康促进、老年人健康与平衡，以及计算机及新科技在体育教学与科研中的应用。是美国印第安纳大学公共健康学院、中国四川大学体育学院、西南财大体育学院、重庆大学体育学院、成都体育学院等多所院校客座教授，2009年获得伊萨卡大学杰出教授奖，2012年获得伊萨卡大学终身教授职位。是多个学术杂志评审委员和专业组织成员，包括体育与运动科学测量评价、糖尿病研究、运动科学等多家杂志评委。
