主讲人介绍：
Robert Scott Van Pelt earned a Masters degree in Floristics and Ecology with a minor in Atmospheric Climatology from the University of New Mexico in 1984 and a PhD in Soil Physics from New Mexico State University in 1990. He has worked in the private consulting sector and since 1999 is currently a researcher for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), on the Board of Directors, International Society for Aeolian Research (ISAR), Past President of International Soil Conservation Organization (ISCO), Associate Editor of Aeolian Research and Journal of Soil and Water Conservation, Soil Scientist at USDA-Agricultural Research Service Big Spring Field Station, and President of the Golden Spread Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
Robert Scott Van Pelt，1990年于新墨西哥州立大学获土壤物理学博士学位，现任美国农业部土壤风蚀与水土保持研究所研究员，国际风沙科学学会副主席，SCI期刊《Aeolian Research》 和 《Journal of Soil and Water Conservation》副主编，曾任世界水土保持协会（ISCO）主席。现为美国农业部（USDA）土壤风蚀与水土保持研究所大斯普林土壤风蚀野外观测站土壤风蚀研究组负责人。
