The Borsuk-Ulam theorem is a classical theorem inalgebraic topology, which has a wide range of applications and generalizationsas there are hundreds of papers on them. I will start with explaining the Borsuk-Ulamtheorem, and then show two applications.

主讲人介绍：

Daisuke Kishimoto is an associate professor at KyotoUniversity studying algebraic topology. He is particularly interested inhomotopy theory and its various connections with algebraic and combinatorialstructures. Professor Kishimoto has published more than 40 high qualityresearch papers and is one of the young leading topologists in Japan.
