Notice for Applying for Visa and Residence Permit
一、Documents required for F Visa for those being invited for visit, investigation, lecturing, business, exchange programs
on science, technology, or culture, short-term study or practical training in Shijiazhuang
1.Official letter from the host unit, stating the basic information of the applicant, reasons for application, items and
duration (copy of the business license and the registration certificate of the host unit or inviting company) ;
2.Valid passport and visa (copy included) ;
3.Hotel check-in record or temporary resident confirmation from local police station (copy included) ;
4.One recently taken 2-inch full-face color photograph (the background should be white) ;
5.Visa and Residence Permit Application to be filled in ;
6.Any others document if request .
二、Documents required for residence permit for Foreign Students
1.Official letter of Admission from the school/university stating the basic information of applicant, reasons for
application, items and duration of stay, “Enrollment Notice”, JW202 Form or JW201 Form;
2.Valid passport and visa (copy included);
3.Hotel check-in record or temporary residence registration from local
police station (copy included);
4.One recently taken 2-inch full-face color photograph (the background should be white)
5.For the first time applicants who are 18 years of age and above , health certificates issued by the HeBei Entry-Exit
Inspection And Quarantine Bureau shoud be submitted:
6.Completed “Visa or Residence Permit Application Form”. (*)
7.Any others document if requested.
三、Documents required for residence permit for those who come to invest , work , teach or perform in Shijiazhuang
1.Official letter from the host unit, stating the basic information of applicant, reasons for the application , items and
duration of stay ; (*)
2.Valid passport and visa (copy included) ;(*)
3.Hotel check-in or temporary residence registration from local police station ;(*)
4.“Certificates of Employment” or “Certificates of Expert” for those coming to invest or to work (copy included);
5.“Certificates of Expert” for those coming to teach (copy included);
6.The approval by the Ministry of Culture or by the Provincial Cultural Bureau for those coming to perform ;
7.One 2-inch recently taken color photo with full-face profile (the background should be white) ;(*)
8.Health certificate issued by the Hebei Entry-Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau (applicants under 18 are exempt) ;(*)
9.The copy of the business license and the registration certificate of the enterprise or representative office ;
10. Visa and Residence Permit Application Form to be filled in .(*)
11.Any other document if requested.
NOTES:
1.The above employed people’s accompanying spouse, parents or children under 18 should, apart from submitting documents
indicated by (*), also submit certificate of family relationship (If the certificate is provided by foreign organizations , it needs to be attested by Chinese overseas consulates) and the copy of the employed people’s passport and residence permit .

四、Documents required for L Visa for tourists
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included);
2.Hotel Check-in record or temporary residence registration from local police station (copy included);
3.One recently taken 2-inch full-face color photograph (the background should be white);
4.Tourists who have been invited should submit the official letter
from the host unit(copy of the business license and the registration certificate of the enterprise or representative
office are also required); and for those without, financial
affidavit to demonstrate the ability , or that of a relative in China ,to support their travel or other expenses in China
(US＄100 per day);
5.Visa and Residence Permit Application to be filled in.
6.Any others document if requested.
五、Documents Required for L visa for student’s spouse and children under 18 ,parents or overseas guardians of foreign
students under 18
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included);
2.Hotel check-in record or temporary residence registration from local police station;
3.One recently taken 2-inch full-face color photograph (the background should be white);
4.The foreign student’s passport and residence permit ,the official letter from the school or university ;
5.Certificate of family relationship (copy included) ;
Foreign spouse should submit certificate of marriage ;
Foreign parents should submit certificate of family relationship ;
Foreign children should submit birth certificate or certificate of family relationship ;
Guardians should submit letter authorized by the foreign students’ parents or notarized guardianship .
If the certificate is provided by foreign organizations ,it need to be attested by Chinese overseas embassies or consulates
6. Visa and Residence Permit Application to be filled in ;
7. Any other document if requested .
六、Documents required for L visa of foreigners over 60 having no direct relatives abroad but having patronizing direct
relatives in China.
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included);
2.Hotel check-in record or temporary residence registration from local police station;
3.One 2-inch recently taken color photo with full-face profile (the background should be white);
4.Certificate of relatives with permanent residency status or Permanent Residence Permit of the patron;
5.Notarized certificate of family relationship (copy included),The direct relatives refer to parents (parents of spouse)
grandparents (grandparents of spouse),adult children and their spouse, adult grandchildren and their spouse;
6.Notarized certificate of the applicant having no direct overseas relatives (copy included);
7.Notarized certificate of the sources of income of the applicant or the financial affidavit of the patron (copy included);
8.Notarized certificate of the lease or housing properities of the applicants or the patron (copy included);
(note: If the certificate is provided by foreign organizations, it needs to be attested by Chinese overseas embassies or
consulates.)
9.Visa and Residence Permit Application form to be filled in;
10.Any other document if requested.
七、Documents required for L visa of overseas Chinese of foreign nationalities with housing properties in Shijiazhuang
over the age of 60 and of their spouse and children under the age of 18.
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included) ;
2.Hotel check-in record or temporary residence registration from local police station ;
3.One 2-inch recently taken color photo with full-face profile (the background should be white);
4.Certificate of property right (copy included);
5.Certificate of sources of income or notarized financial affidavit ;
6.Foreign spouse is expected to submit certificate of marriage and foreign children are expected to submit birth
certificate or family relationship certificate ;
(note: If the certificate is provided by foreign organizations, it needs to be attested by Chinese overseas embassies or
consulates.)
7.Visa and Residence Permit Application to be filled in ;
8.Any other document if requested .
八、Documents Required for L Visa of children under 18 with Chinese citizen parents, and the applicants are going to be
entrusted to a relative/friends residing in Shijiazhuang
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included);
2.Hotel check-in record or temporary residence registration from local police station;
3.One recently taken 2-inch full-face color photograph (the background should be white);
4.Applicants′Birth Certificates;
5.Passports of applicant′s parents;
6.National ID card of the guardian;
7.Notarized guarantee of guardardian;
8.Attestation by the Chinese Overseas Consulates in the event that the document is produced by foreign organizations;
9.Visa or Residence Permit Application Form to be filled in;
10.Any other document if requested.
九、Documents required for L Visa for those who come to visit relatives ,or to see a doctor,
or to pursue other personal business in Shijiazhuang
1.Valid passport and visa (copy included) ;
2.Holtel check-in record or Temporary Residence Registration from local police station (copy included) ;
3.One 2-inch recently taken color photograph with full-face profile ( the background should be white) ;
4.The national ID cards and house registers of the relatives for those coming to visit relatives with
permanent residency status in Shijiazhuang (copy included) ;
5.Relatives’ travel documents and hotel check-in record indicating their stay in Shijiazhuang is 6 months or more
for those coming to visit relatives with overseas Chinese status or resident status of Hong Kong , Macao or Taiwan ;
6.Relatives’ passport and temporary residence permit ,for those coming to visit relatives with resident status of
another country, and who are now residing in China ;
7.The medical diagnosis certificate from hospitals of the county level or above ,for those coming to see a doctor ;
8.Any other document if requested .
