The evolution of the physical world is determined by physical equations, which is deterministic. However, it is very often that the motions exhibit chaotic and probabilistic behaviors. This talk is to introduce some results that have been proved rigorously in mathematics that deterministic systems do have chaotic behaviors and follow some probability laws.

主讲人介绍:

胡虎翼,美国密歇根州立大学数学系教授,主要从事微分动力系统、光滑遍历理论、维数理论等研究工作,在《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》,《Ergodic Theory Dynam. Systems》,《Comm. Math. Phys.》等国际知名期刊上发表学术论文30多篇。由于其出色的研究成果,胡虎翼教授多次获得美国自然科学基金的资助,并多次受邀到巴西、法国、日本、韩国以及国内多所高等院校和科研机构进行学术访问。
